Conditions of Hire

Event-a-Loo (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") conducts all business in accordance with the following conditions of hire, unless otherwise amended in writing by the "Company".
The Customer (hereinafter referred to as the "Hirer") means the person hiring the equipment from the "Company".

  1. Hire Charges and Site Conditions
The hire charges only include Event-a-Loo staff while erecting and dismantling the equipment, or by prior arrangement with the "Company".
The hire charges are based on the assumption that the site is flat, level, and of solid standing with suitable access for the equipment.

  2. Site Safety and Damages
The "Hirer" must inform the "Company" of any underground pipework, underground and overhead electric cables, or anything else that may be in close proximity to the designated site.
The "Hirer" will indemnify the "Company" against any costs incurred in correcting faults related to the previous clause and making good any damage caused.
The "Hirer" will be responsible for any loss or damage caused, whether malicious or otherwise, during the period of hire. This includes cigarette burns to carpets.

  3. Power Supply and Safety
In the event of a power failure, the equipment must not be used or powered by any secondary source until consultation has taken place with the "Company".
No candles are to be used in or around the equipment at any time.

  4. Blockages and Extra Charges
Any blockages caused by hand towels or sanitary towels (which should be disposed of in the wastepaper bins provided) will incur an extra charge.

  5. Liability and Indemnification
The "Company" will not be responsible for, and will be indemnified by the "Hirer" against, any claim or claims for injury to persons, or loss or damage to property or possessions.
The "Company" accepts no liability whatsoever for any malfunction of the equipment if the duration of hire or the number of users exceeds that stated in the quotation.

  6. Ownership and Access
The equipment and accessories remain the property of the "Company" at all times. The "Hirer" will allow the "Company" reasonable access to the equipment during the hire period.
The "Hirer" will not sublet or re-hire the equipment without the written permission of the "Company".
The "Hirer" will not remove the equipment from the site or reposition it from where it was delivered or consigned without prior written agreement from the "Company".

  7. Charges and Booking Terms
The hire charge, delivery charge, and collection charge for the equipment will be as specified in the quotation, as will the period of hire and the maximum number of users.
In the event of a cancellation:

    • If cancelled more than three weeks prior to the event, 60% of the fee will be payable.

    • If cancelled less than three weeks prior to the event, the full payment will be due.

    • A deposit will be charged to secure the booking, which is non-refundable.

  8. Delayed Collection
If collection of the equipment is delayed beyond the agreed date for any reason (e.g., restricted access due to a marquee), the "Company" reserves the right to charge an additional percentage of the hire fee.
If the delay results in the loss of a further booking due to the equipment being unavailable, a full hire charge will be invoiced.
